Lunette Diana & Lunette Diana Kit

GladRags: The Lunette Diana Cup

GladRags: The Lunette Diana Cup

Diana: a cheerful, spring green version of the classic Lunette Cup!

Model 1 is designed for light flow and holds 25 ml of fluid.  Model 2 is designed for heavy flow and holds 30 ml.

The soft silicone Lunette is manufactured in Finland and is a great alternative to disposable products.  The Lunette cup collects your flow rather than absorbing it, so it won't cause discomfort from dryness like tampons can.  Comfortable and easy to use, most women can't even feel the cup once inserted!  The Lunette cup can last for years with proper care, saving you hundreds of dollars!  Detailed instructions for use and care come with your order.  Please note: the Lunette cup cannot be returned.

"In Roman mythology, Diana was the goddess of the moon, the hunt, nature, childbirth and protector of the weak. Doesn't this description sound like the modern woman? Besides her role as a heavenly super-hero, Diana was also a goddess of the woodlands. Woodlands that remind us of Spring and peaceful forests."

I was a skeptic when I first ventured into the cup world, but now I would NEVER go back to tampons! I have the Model 2 Lunette Diana, and just ordered the smaller model for lighter days. I have to say it took me a while to learn how to put in the cup (use youtube for folding methods!) and to get used to using it in public. Once you get past that, you wont go back! Best features: It doesn't leak, I have no cramps with it,I can take it out whenever I want (unlike tampons), it's good for the environment, and its less expensive! The only con for me is the need to wash it in public. It takes a while to get used to, but in the end, it is so worth it!

When I first looked at the Lunette cup, I have to admit that I did have some reservations. I'd heard that menstrual cups can be uncomfortable for petite women and women with a tipped uterus. I'm a small woman (barely five feet tall) with a tipped uterus, as well as heavy periods. I worried that I'd have a hard time inserting and removing the cup, that it would be painful to wear, and that it would leak all over. Well, during my heaviest bleeding last month, I had to change my overnight cloth pad THREE times in one night, and I still had leaking. I also dislike that "wet" feeling you get while wearing pads on really heavy days. This month, I had no leaking, no feeling-like-I'd-wet-my-pants during heavy days, no waking up to a bloody mess in my panties and on my sheets. I only wear the cup with a backup (cloth liners on lighter days and cloth pads on heavier days and at night). I have had no issues inserting, removing, or cleaning the cup. I got it in the size for lighter flow, and it's working really well. I'd recommend it and I'm happy I tried it.

I have been using the Lunette diana (small) during my current period and I have to say it's very comfortable and it works as good as my Mooncup. I am thinking of trimming the stem a little because i can feel it, but it's not too bad. I haven't had any leaking and it's very squishy, which makes it a littl eharder to pop open (compared to the Mooncup) but it's not an issue. I certainly recommend this cup!
