Lunette Cup & Lunette Cup Kit

GladRags: The Lunette Cup

The Lunette Menstrual Cup

Model 1 is designed for light flow and holds 25 ml of fluid.  Model 2 is designed for heavy flow and holds 30 ml.

The soft silicone Lunette is manufactured in Finland and is a great alternative to disposable products.  The Lunette cup collects your flow rather than absorbing it, so it won't cause discomfort from dryness like tampons can.  Comfortable and easy to use, most women can't even feel the cup once inserted!  The Lunette cup can last for years with proper care, saving you hundreds of dollars!  Detailed instructions for use and care come with your order.  Please note: the Lunette cup cannot be returned.

I love the Lunette out of all the different varieties of menstrual cups. I find that it pops open the easiest and with the least effort, which is a definite plus when away from home.

My girlfriend and I both switched from applicator-less tampons and pads to cups and we both think they're the best thing to happy to out periods since sex lol. It was my bright idea that we should switch but I was apprehensive because I have suffered sexual trauma and as a result have a very sensitive bladder and pelvic floor muscles which ache. Add a life long history of severe dysmenorrhea and needless to say I was scared of wasting my money and having to go back to the disposables I was used to. So I did a pile of research and the cup seemed to get the best reviews was the lunette. I bought the size one and my girlfriend, who's flow is heavy than mine(jeeze I can't believe I just typed that) got the size two. Neither of us experience any leakage unless the cup is full to the max. I go 6 to 8 hours with out changing mine at my heaviest points during my period and up to 12 hours during lighter points. I bought the wash that lunette also makes to go with the cup and it smells so good I kind of eyeball it longingly when I'm not on my period cos I want to use it lol. This product is beyond ridiculously awesome. I recommend it to everyone I know who has a period.

I like my Lunette cup, that's for sure. It makes my period so much easier to handle. Once it's in place, it's super comfortable and I hardly notice it. I cut the stem on mine and turned it inside out after much trial and error, though. (I found that insertion and removal were a challenge (and painful) with it right-side out.) Once I turned it inside out, putting it in and removing it were super easy. I highly recommend getting the kit, the liners come in super-handy. I have a heavy period, so the few minutes the cup is out to clean it before re-insertion would be a problem if I didn't have the liners.

I love my Lunette! After 6 months of using the Mooncup (with lots of leaks), I did some research, and found that a Mooncup was never designed to hold the capacity of the ultra capacity tampons I used to use. I use a pad for backup overnight, but other than that, rarely have leaks now. To clean it, I take it out while showering and wash it with mild soap, then fill it with water and press the top ring against my downward facing palm, then give it a good squeeze. This clean out all the suction holes easily and quickly.
