Each package contains 2 Sea Sponge Tampons and 1 cotton storage bag. Since the sponges are are naturally occurring organisms, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes. If you have a preference for size, please indicate it in the notes section of your order! 

Jade and Pearl Sea Sponge Tampons are another great reusable, all-natural internal menstrual option from the past. Sustainably harvested and naturally bleached with hydrogen peroxide, sea sponge tampons are easy to use and easy on your wallet. Your sea sponge tampons will last you at least six months.

To use, simply moisten or wash out and reinsert every 4 - 6 hours, or as often as you would change a tampon.  If you find the sponges you receive are too big, use scissors to trim around the perimeter until the desired size is reached.

I have used these sponges for 2 years now, and I would never use anything else! I have had no problems, so easy! They are great for camping too! I love not adding waste to the world!

I agree with the user who commented on their leaking. I tried these and within a few hours menstrual blood had soaked right through my jeans--and I was at work at the time. And as she said, when you try to take them out, you necessarily have to squeeze them, which means the fluid squeezes right out and all over you. Granted, I have an extraordinarily heavy period, so women with normal periods may get different results.

Just switched from tampons to sponges, and I wouldn't want to do anything else now. My cramps are a lot better than they used to be, it's much more economical, and I feel much better knowing my risk of TSS is virtually nonexistent.

It's a nice concept and great for those it works for. I have tried all the different styles of reusable menstrual products, and for me, the sponges were the worst! Sure, they are good at conforming to your body and great for absorbency, but the problem is, they are sponges and squeeze easily. Squeezing = Leaking. They have leaked while I've worn them, particularly when changing position or doing my yoga practice (and I am not a heavy bleeder so it's not like they were fully saturated). Even worse, they are messy when removing. You must be very careful when removing that you don't squeeze them in the process or you may end up with menstrual fluid all over your hands. So, as I said, nice concept but for me, just way too messy. I much refer a mestrual cup, the most innovative little contraption ever developed for women, imo. I love my keeper!
