I love the diva cup. I have known about it for years but never picked it up until recently. I was a long time user of the instead cups but I found the to be poorly designed and messy. I have started to become disgusted with all the waste that is involved with my monthly and decided to try something new. I will never go back! The design is comfortable and made to prevent leaks its sooo much better then the instead cups. Removal can be an issue for first time users just stay relaxed and don't give up once you get the hang of it you will love the cup too. :)

I switched to the Instead "disposable" cups in 1997, but they are so wide and shallow that they tend to spillage, particularly if you sneeze. ;) I didn't mind, because they were so comfortable compared to tampons. But the Diva cup is much better. While I washed my Insteads and reused them, thus making the reusable part a moot point, the shape of the Diva is more ergonomic, more secure, and it's nice to be able to measure the amount of blood each time you remove it. I inform myself about my body every time i use it. That's nice. I highly recommend it. Just remember to pinch the bottom a little before removing it, to disrupt the slight suction (I have a friend who didn't read the instructions and spent a half hour trying to remove it! LOL).

I so badly wanted it to work. I know I had it in right. Tried for 3 or 4 cycles but it irritated me thru half my period. I think as my cervix moved down/forward, it would be more uncomfortable. The other half of my period when it wasn't bothering me, it was WONDERFUL! If only it was that way all the time!

i "got it to work" but had a very hard time removing it. i need a longer handle on the bottom of my cup...i had to "fish" around for this and it was sometimes painful pinching my skin. perhaps try a brand that's returnable after 3 months ;)

Best thing a woman could get! This was one of the smartest decisions/investments. The Cup is so easy to travel with, eco-friendly, saves $$$ on disposable products and safe. It's well worth the value, I've saved over $100 by not purchasing tampons/pads and I'm comfortable wearing a thong (no bunching of pads, no string from tampons). Easy to use especially if you're familiar with your anatomy (and we should be-- we own it)! Best Product!!!
