i frequent our local organic farmers market and am loving the abundance of heirloom tomatos. we picked up some tomato plants earlier this year and have been waiting for them to ripen, but alas, it hasn't been a hot enough summer over here to allow them to fully peak. as i'm typing, i'm having lunch and enjoying the heirloom tomatos we picked up in central bc last week. i had no idea they came in so many colours, shapes and sizes. yum!
